MB PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST – 2022

Who doesn’t love decorating for the spooky season? Our annual Halloween coloring contest has been a beloved tradition for our young customers and this year, we’ve decided to host a creative contest for the adults! Show us a photo of your pumpkin decorating skills on social media for a chance to win a $100 Market Basket gift card! The deadline for entries is noon on Monday, October 24, 2022.

HOW TO ENTER

INSTAGRAM

1. Follow @MarketBasket
2. Decorate a pumpkin!
3. We welcome both painted pumpkins or carved, it just needs to be your own creation. (Participants must be over the age of 18 to win, however, kids/families are encouraged to help create the submission together)
4. Take a photo of your pumpkin next to a handwritten note that says “MB Pumpkin Contest ’22”
5. Post a photo of your pumpkin on your IG page and tag @MarketBasket. Be sure to use the hashtag #MBpumpkincontest in the post caption for us to find your entry! (Note: your profile will need to be public for us to see your entry!)

For an additional chance to win, you may also submit your photo to our contest on Facebook.

CONTEST RULES

There is no limit to the number of photos participants may share (we love to see your creations), however, only 1 entry will be permitted per account per social platform. The Facebook and Instagram contests will be hosted as separate contests, with 1 winner for Facebook and 1 winner for Instagram. Customers who enter on both Facebook and Instagram will have 2 chances of winning, however, entrants will not be eligible to win both contest prizes.

To enter the contest, participants must decorate a pumpkin, either painted or carved, as long as it is their own work. To verify that the photo and decorated pumpkin is your own, the photo will need to show the decorated pumpkin next to a handwritten note that reads “MB Pumpkin Contest ’22”.

Participants may enter both the Facebook contest and the Instagram contest. Only one (1) entry will be given for each participant who follows entry instructions. Participants who enter on both Facebook and Instagram will be eligible for one (1) entry per platform. A random drawing will be conducted at the end of the entry period and 1 Facebook winner will be selected from all eligible Facebook entries received and 1 Instagram winner will be selected from all eligible Instagram entries received.

Submission period runs from October 14, 2022 (8am ET) – October 24, 2022 (12pm ET). This contest is open to legal residents of MA, ME, NH, VT, RI, or CT. Photos must be submitted by participants who are 18+ years old at the time of entry, but individuals under 18 years old are encouraged to help decorate the pumpkin(s). Winners will be contacted via private message on Facebook or Instagram. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within 24 hours from the time the award notification was sent, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Winners must provide an address to process the prize, and may be asked for additional information, however, Market Basket will never request payment to participate or to receive a prize. Employees and third-party workers of Market Basket are not eligible to win. By participating, you agree fully and unconditionally to the terms and conditions below.

1. PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The “MB PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST 2022” (“Contest”) begins on October 14, 2022 at 8:00am ET and submissions close on October 24, 2022 at 12pm ET (the “Promotion Period”). The sponsor of this Contest is DEMOULAS SUPER MARKETS INC. (“Sponsor”). This promotion is not affiliated with Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor is responsible for the collection, submission or processing of Entries and the overall administration of the Contest. Entrants should look solely to Sponsor with any questions, comments or problems related to the Contest. Sponsor may be reached by email at [email protected] during the Promotion Period.

2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at entry (the “Entrant”). 3. PRIZES: Instagram (1 Winner): $100 Market Basket Gift Card Facebook (1 Winner): $100 Market Basket Gift Card Only one (1) prize per person and per household will be awarded. Gift cards and gift certificates are subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by the winners. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. This Contest is open to legal residents of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut and Prizes will only be awarded to addresses within said locations. Automated or robotic Entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be disqualified. Internet entry must be made by the Entrant. Any attempt by an Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial contest/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void Entrant’s Entries and that Entrant may be disqualified. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. All Entries must be posted by the end of the Promotion Period in order to participate. Sponsor’s database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Contest

5. WINNER SELECTION: Market Basket will randomly select 1 Facebook winner from all eligible Facebook submissions received during the Entry Period and will randomly select 1 Instagram winner from all eligible Instagram submissions received during the Entry Period. Winners will be chosen within 2 days from the contest closing and will be notified on either Facebook or Instagram. Market Basket has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by contest rules; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering. The entry must come from a person’s individual account and not a meme, community, company, or product account. The company reserves at its sole discretion the right to choose an alternative qualifier in the event that that a qualifier has been disqualified or is deemed ineligible. The company will not accept screenshots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process.

6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by direct message on Instagram or Facebook, sent to the account holder of the profile used to enter, within two (2) business days after the Entry Period has closed. Potential winners must accept the prize by Instagram or Facebook direct message as instructed by Sponsor within 24 hours of notification. Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive email account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or winner’s failure to adequately monitor any email, Facebook, or Instagram account.

7. PRIVACY & TERMS OF USE: Any personal information and media supplied by you will be subject to the privacy policy and terms of use of the Sponsor, posted at www.shopmarketbasket.com/privacy-policy.

8. TAMPERING WITH CONTEST: Entrants found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Contest, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and/or civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By entering you agree to release and hold harmless Market Basket and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not (“Released Parties”). Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Contest; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, camera, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Contest; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of any network or wireless service, the Internet or website or any combination thereof; (e) suspended or discontinued Internet, wireless or landline phone service; (f) any injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer or mobile device which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Contest or download of any materials in the Contest; or (g) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest in whole or in part. In such event, Sponsor shall immediately suspend all drawings and prize awards, and Sponsor reserves the right to award any remaining prizes (up to the total ARV as set forth in these Official Rules) in a manner deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor.
