Make Your Spirits Bright With These Cocktail (and Mocktail!) Ideas


What fun it is to make and drink these cocktail recipes tonight! Whether you're looking for drinks to entertain Christmas guests, or cocktails to ring in the New Year, these recipes are so good they'll have you singing!

1. Vanilla Cranberry Mimosas

The perfect holiday drink, these mimosas take only three ingredients to make! The ingredients and instructions below yield one mimosa.

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 oz vanilla flavored vodka
- 1 1/2 oz cranberry juice
- Sparkling wine
- Optional: fresh cranberries, whole vanilla beans, or cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions:

Using a cocktail shaker, mix the vanilla vodka, cranberry juice, and ice. Shake well, then strain into your glass. Fill it to the top with sparkling wine, add garnish, and serve!

2. Cranberry-Apple Cider Punch

If you have party guests who don't or can't drink, this mocktail recipe is a great way to include them in the festivities! 

Ingredients:

- 4 cups apple cider, chilled
- 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
- 2 cups ginger ale, chilled
- 12 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
- Optional: apple slices, cranberries, or rosemary for garnish

Instructions:

In a large container, mix the cider, cranberry juice, ginger ale, and orange juice concentrate. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Just before serving, pour the punch into a punch bowl. Garnish with apple slices, fresh or frozen cranberries, or rosemary for a festive look.

3. Raspberry Pink Champagne Floats

Ingredients:

- 3 scoops raspberry sorbet/sherbert 
- 1 cup pink champagne
- Optional: fresh raspberries for garnish

Instructions:

Place scoops of raspberry sorbet into a large glass. Pour the pink champagne over the sorbet and top with fresh raspberries. Enjoy!

You can also make this drink kid-friendly by using one of these pink champagne substitutes: cranberry juice, ginger ale, lemon-lime soda, club soda, white grape juice, or cherry-flavored seltzer water.
