Fun Food Activities to Do with Kids: Frosted Fruit O's Rainbow

Fun Food Activities to Do with Kids: Frosted Fruit O's Rainbow

Especially good for the little ones, this activity is great for reviewing colors, sorting, and even math. You can also use it as an opportunity to introduce them to ROYGBIV early!

What you need:

  • Frosted Fruit O’s cereal
  • Rainbow template
  • Glue
Someone cuts a rainbow pattern from a piece of paper. Elmer's school glue and Market Basket Frosted Fruit O's can be seen on a table in the background.

First, cut out a semi-circle from paper, making sure to remove the middle to create the arch. Then, use a black marker to draw curved lines along the arch, creating six pathways to fill with cereal pieces.

(For your convenience, we have included a printable template to make this activity even easier!)

Once all of your ingredients are ready, let those little hands do their magic! Put a line of glue along the paths and fill them up with the cereal pieces. The final product will be a beautiful rainbow ready to be hung on the fridge.
