Holiday Turkey Dinner Information
BUTTERBALL FULLY COOKED TURKEY
Butterball Oven-Baked Turkey is fully cooked and ready to eat.
It can be used in recipes calling for cooked Turkey, without prior heating.
The thigh meat may be slightly pinkish in color and some pink juices may appear. This does not mean that your turkey is undercooked.
IF TURKEY IS FROZEN DO NOT THAW AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. Thaw breast up, in an unopened wrapper, on a tray, in the refrigerator for 2 to 5 days.

- Position Turkey lifter on flat rack in open pan, about 2 inches deep. See Turkey Lifter Directions.
- Place turkey, breast up, on flat rack in pan. Do not add water.
- Insert meat thermometer deep into the thickest part of the thigh next to the body, not touching bone.
- Place turkey in the oven and heat 8 to 10 lbs for 1 ¼ to 1 ¾ hours, 10 to 14 lbs for 1 ¾ to 2 ¼ hours, 16 to 18 lbs for 2 ¼ to 2 ½ hours.
- To prevent over-browning, loosely cover breast and top of drumsticks with lightweight aluminum foil after 1 to 1 ¼ hours,

- Carve and serve immediately.

- Note: You may need to adjust the time for your microwave for the quantity of turkey being heated.
TO HEAT WHOLE TURKEY (IF UNDER 12 LBS) IN MICROWAVE OVEN
- Remove turkey from wrapper. Do not stuff the turkey. Place turkey, breast down, on microwave-safe tray and level with a microwave-safe item (i.e. wooden spoon, small dish), if necessary.
