Campbell’s Creamy Baked Macaroni & Cheese Recipe

Even when you’re super busy, you don’t have to settle for instant mac and cheese made with lumpy, bland powdered cheese.  Our Baked Macaroni & Cheese recipe is just as easy to make since you start with creamy cheesy condensed cheddar cheese soup!  Just boil some pasta, toss with soup, milk and cheese and bake!  There’s hardly any hands-on cooking, but Baked Macaroni & Cheese made this way, finished with a buttery bread crumb topping, will taste like you spent hours!

campbell's Cheddar soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons plain dry bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)
  • 3 cups cooked rotini (spiral) pasta (from about 1 1/2 cups dry)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F.  While the oven is heating, stir the bread crumbs and butter in a small bowl.
  2. Stir the soup, milk, cheese and rotini in a 1-quart casserole.  Season the mixture with salt and pepper.  Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the rotini mixture.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until hot and the bread crumb mixture is golden brown.
